I liked the book, and I did grow attached to the people in it. It's just that a lot of the time it felt very slow, and then later on we were speeding through it. Also, I wasn't a huge fan of the attitude the main lady had sometimes, especially when it came to making degrading comments about other people's looks and such. On the flipside, perhaps I got so attached to them because of the lengthy bits.
