The Art of War by Sun Tzu
4.0
This isn't my usual sort of book. I've only ever read similar books by accident (The Prince by Niccolò Machiavelli) but I found this book quite interesting.
I liked how the chapters were fairly short and the ideas very clever. In the chapter 'The Army on the March' at one point it says "If those who are sent to draw water begin by drinking themselves, the army is suffering from thirst." This I thought was a really clever way of understanding the state of the enemy.
I'd recommend the version I have, though I can't find the name of the translator which I think should be somewhere in the book.
