I enjoyed this book a lot less than I thought I would. It basically has the perfect concept and story for my taste. I mean, it’s Arthur and Merlin, childhood friends-to-lovers, finding your soulmate under time pressure and so many romantic tropes! But I think the issue was that I wasn’t super fond of the characters, and as this is a character focused story, the story also becomes less exciting. Add to that an unbelievably huge amount of miscommunication to a degree that is not believable anymore, and here you have it.

In the end, still a decent book. I did enjoy myself, just not as much as I hoped.I enjoyed this book a lot less than I thought I would. It basically has the perfect concept and story for my taste. Loved that the character group felt like your typical chaotic DnD group. Also that everyone in the world seemed to be pansexual was very cool.
