ANOTHER reread - Third time I've read this book.

It was SO sad to see Dalinar have to go through the struggles that he went through. It was needed, but hard to experience WITH him.

Shallan's journey was also powerful. She has NOW accepted her path, but it is not the end, but just the beginning.

Kalladin is where he needs to be, and he's still my favourite.

Jasnah. Interesting choice. Wouldn't have been my first, second, or third choice...but Wow!

And Wit. Scary, the power that he weilds, but I wonder the ability that he has within the Cosmere and how it all converges on/through him...or am I totally off course? Hmmm.

Okay, onward to Dawnshard. This is all in advance to read Wind and Truth. Wish me luck (or send me a spren).

Reread - Unbelievable.

My favorite character is still Kaladin. His journey within this book is amazing. Bridge Four to Radiant. BUT, he has lead a life of deprivation. His anger towards the world for his hardships has not been really dealt with. Yes, he is no longer a naive young boy, nor a soldier, nor a slave, nor the leader of Bridge Four, nor a Radiant. He is the sum of all these, and more.
Also, Dalinar...what a backstory. I love how BS is dealing with different parts of psychological trauma. Drinking, Rage/Anger, Violence...to the likes that it really can't be forgiven (at least within himself)...which leads to his drinking. His adoption of the Codes, was his way of dealing with the negative aspects of his previous self. Also, the loss of the memory of his wife was a harsh consequence. Yikes!
Shallan and her multiple personalities. Schizophrenia is a mental illness, but here it has been used as a talent, but will it have negative consequences down the road?
Also, there are so many other characters that are on their own journeys. This is a series of flawed individuals...that become great or fall from greatness
