This book was so unique and so incredible! Marcia, a septuagenarian, and Sabrina, a young 20-something are roommates so that Sabrina can help Marcia out with household tasks and in exchange gets cheap rent and a great grandmother-figure/friend. It isn’t until Marcia’s estranged grandson, Adam, moves in that this dynamic between Marcia and Sabrina is threatened. Meredith Schorr takes us on a journey with these three characters- I truly believe all of them grow as a result of the situation and the cards life deals at them. I loved the way all of the characters were so darn supportive. It was such a bright and uplifting book to read. There was of course still one villain, but even that felt like an important life lesson and we don’t see that character much. I loved it!
