Tintin in the Congo by Hergé

adventurous fast-paced

1.0

Racist is the only word I can think of to describe this book, the Congolese are drawn as black. Yes, you heard it right, black as in PITCH BLACK!!

Tintin escapes crocodiles, a shark, a leopard, an elephant, an ox, a rhino, a monkey that can shoot guns, a lion, a hippo, and some evil white person, pretending to be a priest. He also skinned a monkey and wore the skin to sneak into a camp. One of the monkeys even talked to him and thought he was a monkey. He also pretended to be a giraffe at one point,

I also happened to have bought a German copy of this comic, but still doesn't change the fact that this book is racist as hell. It left me with one question, what in the world did I just read?!
