Angels' Dance by Nalini Singh

5.0

Edit: changed my rating from 4.5 stars to 5 stars because I look back on this novella way too fondly to have it at 4.5 stars.

"Dance with me, Galen."

I was done for with that scene. And then chapter 15,with all the letters and the sweet sweet words. I don't think my heart could swell with love any more.

I honestly enjoyed this novella so so much. I was constantly reading when I wasn't doing chores. I just love both Jessamy and Galen as characters, love the way they both grew and had to work through internal struggles to get to where they ended up. Their courtship was just so heartwarmingly amazing, although it was definitely bittersweet at times, for example, I wanted Jessamy to fight for her angel but I understand why she made the choice she made. Made me take off a half star though, because I was so disappointed when I read it and it took me a while to get over it. But it made everything that came afterwards that much sweeter.

The side characters in this one were great as well. I feel like Jessamy made me see a different side to Raphael, constantly reminding us of the boy he had been instead of the lethal archangel we meet in Blood. Also, it won't be a surprise when I say I loved loved loved the amount of scenes we got graced with Bluebells presence
