The Do-Over by T.L. Swan

I came for the love/romance plot, but stayed for the multi-family plot. This book is the fourth and final book in a series that honestly I'm not sure why I even pushed through because I'll be honest, I won't be touching this series again.

This book is about the last brother of the Miles family, and it's about the youngest Christopher, who decided to take a "gap year" from work to find himself and live a life away from the perks money gives. On the other side of the world, Hayden does the same thing to get over a broken heart. The two meet , flirt, boy gets friend-zoned, girl then falls in love, they get into a big argument, they break up, only for happy ever after to happen.

Now I have to admit that I pushed through this book to see what happens next with a specific character in this story, Eduardo, a little 14 year old boy that Christopher met. And honestly the relationship between Christopher and his brothers and family, and his love and care for this 14 year old that he randomly meets on his first night of his gap year. Personally I didn't like the two characters, but like I said, I stayed for the family plot that came out.

The book overall was a little rushed and I didn't really understand the weird time jumps that happened, and I felt like something was missing. It had the potential for more, but it wasn't a bad read.

I did enjoy seeing Christopher get a character development from being someone who's unable to move things around for others and prioritize himself to someone who's willing to let go of control and push past his own comfort zone to become a better person not just for himself, but his family, and the people he cares about.
