Choosing Theo
by Victoria Aveline
I’ve read a lot (and I mean a lot) of alien romance, so trust me when I say Choosing Theo is one of the best out there. Holy hell, what a ride!
First of all—Jade. Our girl is a librarian from South Carolina, and as someone also hailing from the great Palmetto State and working toward my MLIS, I was instantly hooked. A Southern librarian launched into a galaxy of sexy alien suitors? Say less.
Then enters Theo. Sweet, suspicious, delicious Theo. The way Jade described him had me fanning myself. And the fact that he’s confused and wary because she finds him attractive? I actually laughed out loud. Poor Theo, just trying to be an honorable Clecanian while Jade is over here mentally undressing him. Relatable content.
Bonus points for the Clecanian species sharing DNA with humans. I love a good blue alien with horns as much as the next gal, but it was refreshing to meet a more… compatible species.
