This book was kinda hard to get into at first. I really enjoyed the first two books in the series and I understand why people say this is where the story really begins or takes a turn.

We are in a completely different place from last book. We’re all separated. Truly feels like the beginning of a new series with the way our main character ends up in a different island/continent, we go through the training arc again, we’re introduced to new characters, etc.
I just felt a bit disconnected at first and it was hard to catch on.

Now, with that being said, around the 60% mark was where I truly felt like I was interested in everyone’s story and the book became addictive.

Overall, I would still give this book 4 stars because it is enjoyable and the characters are (mostly) likable.

I cannot wait to see where the story takes us next.
