Dragon Marked by Jaymin Eve

I liked the world in this book and I thought that the world was clearly shown and explained but the writing made everything seemed really rushed.
Spoiler
Jessa’s mother comes back and it turns out that she was away hiding Jessa’s twin, Mischa, as it seemed like the best way to protect them. I got that it was all a misunderstanding and that Jessa didn’t really have a real reason to hate her mother anymore but her mother is basically a stranger to her now and even though Jessa didn’t really have a close relationship with her mother I thought that there could have been a bit more reserve. I didn’t like how quickly Mischa was accepted into the pack as, sure she was Jessa’s sister, but she was still a stranger and I just didn’t like her so I didn’t like how quickly everyone just accepted her.

The Compasses are taken to the prison to await their trial and that week is basically skipped over. Then Braxton and Jessa have to stay in the prison because they were caught trying to sneak out of it. While I liked the idea of these events, everything was too fast paced as it made the events seem unimportant when everything that happened was serious as they could have died. Also I wanted to see more of what happened in the prison as the first and last days of Braxton and Jessa’s stay in the prison were shown.

I didn’t really like how fast everything happened at the end as nothing was really detailed but it fit in with the situation and what Jessa was feeling.
