Fire in You by Jennifer L. Armentrout, Jennifer L. Armentrout

Worst hero ever!! The story would have been okay if Armentrout knocked Brock down a few pegs. Made him actually fight for Jillian. But nope. She pretty much stayed wrapped around his fingers the entire book. I wanted to see Jillian really grow outside of Brock's shadow but that never happened. He just strolled in and took what he wanted and gave nothing in return because that's the way it has always been with those two. She gave him her all, took care of him when he was hurt but when she needed him because she was shot in the face, he chose another woman. Even tho her hurt was indirectly his fault. At no point in the story did I feel that he actually loved her. His ex girlfriend summed his feelings up perfectly... guilt. That’s all he felt for Jillian. This whole plot was based on guilt. If guilt was a genre this book would belong there not in romance. . With the help of Jillians family Brock manipulates Jillian into letting him back into her life and she goes along with it because she has no backbone. Her mom, dad and uncles conspired against her. It’s disgusting. Unlike Armentrout to write such a selfish, coward of a hero but alas.
