WE had a very good start and the world building is extremely good, you follow D-503 who is part of the United state. Where everyone is coded by a number, wears blue uniforms with shaved heads and everything is based off mathematics. And they have a mathematical table everything has to follow, the times when they sleep, eat and have sex. The prose and writing is also quite mathematical and precise which adds to the book, I enjoyed the writing a lot. I also enjoyed seeing how certain furniture and emotions aren’t allowed anymore as they don’t have certain equations and don’t fit into a square root. Overall it was good and it was interesting reading the inspo for 1984 but I find the book dragged on to much and could end much sooner.
