It took me such a long time finishing this that I feared my ebook library would delete it from its catalogue before I arrived at the end.
I honestly do not know why it did not quite grab me like the first book. There are all the things I like: action, world saving, crazy outfits, tragically romantic love scenes, found family, betrayal, friendship, values, diversity, impossible odds... I could go on.
And I did miss a bus stop near the end. I like how it turns out, I am glad I read it.
I recommend to read this instantly after the first volume, when the characters are still close to your heart. My theory is that I waited too long between books, and did not remember enough to be instantly engaged.
In a way the duology is one big book and should be read as such.
