For a typical romance novel, I actually really loved this one. It’s the cliche grumpyxsunshine fake relationship that you would expect, but it’s missing a lot of that cringe romance writing that you either love or hate…so as far as romance, I loved this book!

I really liked the setting / vacation but work aspect of the plot and I think that’s what made me keep reading. I loved Rex as a character and loved reading his POV (though of course like all male POVs I hated the way he described tabitha before he realized he loved her).

The only complaint I have about this book is I really really hated tabitha. She annoyed me so so much and I get it was supposed to be her like dealing with childhood / emotional trauma , but sometimes she just so annoyed me up until halfway through the book. She’s just the type of character I hate I think / find annoying. A quirky but trying to hard to be quirky type character (in the sense of her being written that way).
