And So I Roar

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

This book was so powerful. I cried at multiple points while listening to this beautiful story of these brave women.

Adunni is a girl on the brink of going to school when she is taken by the village chiefs for a sacrificial ceremony. Tia had been her employer, who gives her a safe life and goes to get her back. During their time away from Lagos, Nigeria in a small village, so many brave women’s stories are told.

These brave stories were heartbreaking and beautiful. Definitely hard to hear some of the ways that women in stories like this are treated but it was beautifully done. This book will stick with me for a long time.
