Look Who's Back by Timur Vermes
4.0

It was refreshing to read about such a controversial character as if he were just another person trying to get by, testing the waters for what he could achieve.
The book is of a simple nature, as in a book you can bring with you on holiday or just kick back with without having to make too much of an effort to get through. It really does seem like the author has done his research, and a very good job at that, but at the same time this becomes apparent in his eagerness to show what he knows and not necessarily in a way that benefits the story any further. He strays from the point to state a fact (or what I would presume is a fact) but with no intention of finishing it, finishing off mid-sentence by saying things like: "...I don't need to go into any more detail than that now." and the like, leaving me to wonder if it was really worth bringing up in the first place.
The story itself is decent and entertaining and is a good way to open up to different ways of thinking when it comes to such a tender subject. After all, I find it important to remember that Hitler was indeed human and still confident in his convictions.
"Those who don't know history is bound to repeat it." as the saying goes, which is exactly why this is a great topic to bring up, especially in such a new and informal matter.
