It is impossible not to get engaged into the story and live the plot from one of the character's eyes.
The narrator makes this experience quite enjoyable by being a really nice voice actress. I could even imagine her making the corresponding facial expressions!
This is a contemporary book about love, fear and family issues we tend to hide from the world and even from ourselves by denying them by using excuses and do not help the situation improve, but worsen.
Everything should go well if you make the right choices and learn to talk and listen: communicate.
