This was a sad and difficult book to read. Heavy on the content warnings. But worth reading . A unique and touching spin on the story that doesn't shy away from what would have been the very dark realities of it. It was dark and thoughtful but I was fully invested in seeing it through to the end. A proper Greek tragedy. You know the ending, you see it coming miles away, and you watch with unbreaking attention anyways, wishing they would see it too, but they never do. After all, what's a Greek hero if not a tragedy waiting to happen?
