With You Forever by Chloe Liese

5.0

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Obsessed. There's nothing I would change because it was perfection (must read + reread)

A marriage of convenience paired with a grumpy/sunshine, sign me the fuck up. This is a close second behind 'Ever After Always'. Axel and Rooney were such a beautiful pairing and I just couldn't get enough of them. Chloe Liese really writes these books in such a beautiful way, she is empathetic to the people she is showing representation for without making it feel like tokenism.

Axel is a grumpy painter and Rooney is the sunshiny girl in STEM currently taking a break from Stanford Law School. Rooney wants to figure out her next step so she goes to the Bergman cabin but who should be there but Axel who is currently renovating it. These two had chemistry when they first met and grew to show love in the little ways that just made my heart full.

Tropes: Marriage of Convenience, IBD Rep, Grumpy + Sunshine, Neurodiverse MMC (autism), “My best friends-partners-sibling” or “My siblings-partners-best friend”
Triggers: chronic illness, abandoned animals, toxic family
