I really enjoyed this! When two "spare" royals are forced into an arranged marriage to solidify a peace treaty between their kingdoms, they form a fast friendship that soon becomes something more.

This book was strange in that it wasn't so much interested in developing a plot or a establish a world, beyond what was absolutely necessary, and instead focused on the relationship dynamic between Ildiko and Brishen as their friendship evolved into a sweet romance. Outside of the romance, everything moved very quickly along-- like I said, this story just wasn't interested in developing the plot. I would have appreciated if things were a bit more fleshed out.
