The Senator's Wife by Liv Constantine

2.0

✨ "We take so much for granted, she thought, never realizing how life can change in an instant."

Yet another typical Constantine novel where everything is contrived, ludicrous and over-the-top. The characters are vapid, hard to take seriously and speak very unnaturally. Even the opening chapter, while relatively gripping, was ridiculous.

Although an easy and fun page-turner, huge suspension of disbelief is required throughout the book. The twist was good and I liked it, but overall this was underwhelming.

I said I would not read another book by this duo after three duds but yet here I am, so what does that say?
