This was an enjoyable story that reminded me a lot of the Studio Ghibli style of storytelling. Jane receives gifts from an old woman that allow her to go on and underwater journey to save her potential fiance from a mermaid intending to kill him. Along the way she saves the life of a selkie, winning his friendship and loyalty.
