nina riva my beloved...have yet to read a TJR book that i didn't enjoy. reading this one last in the mick riva (derogatory) saga probably contributed to my high rating but references to other TJR characters made the universe feel so fleshed out. i think this one in particular hit me especially hard because of how emotional the family dynamic was. to think this was the book i had the least expectations for and now the riva siblings are so dear to me <3
SO glad that the book didn't end with the family accepting mick back into their lives as he truly did nothing to deserve their forgiveness. the casey storyline was the one part i'll say was unnecessary, but it didn't take away from the rest of the book in any way.
