Earthlings is nothing like you expect, you may be ready for absurdist literature but you may not be ready for this. Over the course of this talk Murata provides an avenue to several important and impactful conversations about the state of the world. While we are exploring the tale of Natsuki as she struggles to find a sense of normalcy as alien species among humans. Murata engages the reader with conversations about society and its hold on our lives and sense of purpose, and how women are treated a whole and even more so when they are victims of SA. Murata will certainly leave the reader wonder WTF did I just read, and more importantly where do I see myself in this story?
