I did not hesitate when I saw this one out in Barnes and Noble. I LOVED Before I Let Go last year so there was no doubt I'd gravitate towards the second in her Skyland series. I wouldn't say I loved this one as much as the first, but I definitely did love it.

Soledad Barnes seems to have the perfect life from the outside. She's got three beautiful girls, a successful husband, and the home of her dreams in her Atlanta Skyland neighborhood. But that all comes crashing down when her husband betrays her, in multiple ways. Now the man who has taken him down wants her and she wants him back, Sol realizes she can't jump in with both feet like she might want to. She's got to learn how to do it all on her own and prove to herself that she's enough. She can do what her family needs. After everything she's been through, can she even trust another man?

I couldn't put this down. I freaking love Soledad and her take no shit attitude. I love the way she spoke to people who tried to disrespect her and the way she fully came into her own. Judah was also perfection. 🔥 This one wasn't quite as heavy as the first in the series, but it was no less emotionally extraordinary.
