I never finished The Princess Diaries series. I'm not even sure what book I left off at, maybe book 7? I was a bit worried that I would be a bit lost, but really I don't feel like I missed much. The basics from the beginning of the series was still evident and I was able to follow along pretty well. Since I listened to the audiobook I think this affected how much I enjoyed it. The lists were tedious to listen to and overall listening to a diary/journal narration probably isn't the best idea to begin with. I remember what I liked about the first few books was it making me laugh due to Mia's narration/situations. I didn't laugh as much as I would have liked. There is a possibility the adult princess diaries series could continue and I think I'd choose to read the rest instead of audio.
