A very readable book, I powered through it in a day. While the reveal sure was something, it didn't make up for the rest of the book leaving me a little underwhelmed and a times annoyed.
I think that's partly due to very much not being the YA demographic anymore, I found parts of it a bit too over the top and melodramatic. I probably would have liked this a lot more at 14 than I do at 31.
Even though it didn't work for me, I can see myself recommending it to the teenagers in my life.
