This is a book that examines our futurities with so much optimism, our present with tenderness, and our past without flinching. Everything comes together thematically in such a satisfying way—as I rushed towards the end, I saw the pieces fall into place. You have to be willing to work in this book (try sounding out the Kriol to get the meaning), but it's so worth it.
Moderate: Self harm and Sexual content
