Caraval by Stephanie Garber

I don't know if I will be able to write down my thoughts on this book. It was /incredible/. I have not been so sucked into a world in a long time. The world building was immaculate. The plot alone was something I don't think I have ever encountered before. It felt like the flamboyancy and magic of Alice in Wonderland but with the grit and game-play of Hunger Games. Not to mention, the character development in Scarlet alone?! I really felt like I was growing and playing along with her. I also was not expecting the multitude of twists in the final chapters of the book. It just kept coming in waves. The more that was explained about what happened, the more it added to the playfulness of the book. It was also wrapped up so nicely at the end, which I rarely see trilogies do. It's almost like Stephanie Garber is giving the reader the option to continue on the journey with the epilogue, and I am so incredibly ready to move on to the next book. I have nothing but good things to say about this book. I literally read it in a day. Worth the eye burn that I have now acquired.
