History will remember Sarah. I’d briefly heard of her via news headlines, but when my mom’s friend said this was the best book she’d ever read about trans rights, I had to read it immediately. Cut to me sitting in my car outside the hair salon bawling because of how powerful and impactful this autobiography was. If you’re struggling with what being transgender means or you want to see a story of growth and coming into one’s own or you want to see a trans person fighting the good fight in politics—this nonfiction book is for you.
