This is such a divergence from the first book and yet it's so perfect??? A perfect novella. I loved each and every single second of this book. I love the characterization of even the most minor characters. I love the world building. I love Henry. I love Tobias. I love Maud. I love Mrs. Silver. I love the fairy. I LOVE Bramble. I even love the vampire. I love all of it.
I didn't even know I needed this, but I needed it so much. This has become one of my favorite books of all time. How Emily Tesh packed all this into only a 150 pages? I don't know but I am obsessed. I want to wrap Tobias and Silver in my chest and protect them from eveything. Oh, I love them so much.
