Reviewing as of March 2025 re-read:
THIS IS WHERE THIS SERIES SHINES!!  From the third book onwards the whole series are all *chef’s kiss*🤌🏽  Juliette really comes into her own in this book, and it’s just really fun to experience.
There’s still some Adam angst; and while I am no fan of a love triangle, as 30-something reader now, I appreciate the maturity of Juliette realizing that her feelings about Adam were very much feelings of circumstance to a certain extent.
Warner is a much better fit for her, and DAMN their relationship is also 🤌🏽🔥🤤  Sometimes I wish Taherah would re-release these as adult books so we could have the full spice experience, but honestly I love the characters so much that I still very much enjoyed what was there and am content.

Kenji will always be my favorite character - he’d better be safe in the quickly approaching sequel series goddammit!!😤🥺
Really enjoying this series reread - these books just fly by, the writing is lush, and raw and gorgeous and the I really love this story and these characters. ❤️
