The Seven Year Slip
by Ashley Poston
This is cutesie and enjoyable, it's got quite a slow beginning and takes a while to get into it
I thought the beginning of Iwan and Lemon's relationship felt very sudden and out of no where. I didn't really feel they had connected or built anything. I preferred James and Clementine, they felt like they had shared history and more of a connection. I was relieved when we find out James knows about the time slip, I didn't like that he was unaware - my expectation going into the book was that they both knew what was happening and were in the situation together
I like how she got told and proved wrong about expecting him to be the same person he was seven years ago, and about how change isn't always a bad thing
I knew she was going to end up bumping into her aunt in the apartment! I wish they'd written a scene or a couple of lines about the interaction, I think it could have been really emotional
