This book reminded me so much of Daisy Jones and the Six which I adored!
When Water Lil aka Lillian Waters aka Lena Thorsell has vocal cords damage and goes on her last tour with young fiddle player Kaori, Patrice (driver), brother Tommy Reed and Gene Farver and life long friend (in love) Charlie Hagerty. Flashing back to 1920 and present day 1980 tour, we learn about the country lifestyle, displacement of people and race in Walla Walla, Washington and Nashville. An enjoyable read with a surprising ending.
