Asura: Tale Of The Vanquished by Anand Neelakantan
5.0

A very intriguing approach to the mythological epic from the perspective of Raavana. There were so many ideas, stories and references which make logical sense and hence portray the villain in a positive light. The most exciting part about the book is the way in which it convinces you to reconsider the stories that you've been hearing. Knowing just the one side of the story for so long, you tend to accept them as facts which won't change easily. The success of the novel is that while using the same facts, it gives you additional insights which make you empathize with the protagonist in a way you never have.
