Interesting book and premise, the first 50 pages are the ones most worth reading.
What this book does well is proposing an alternative narrative and an optimistic view into the future. Some people find it too uncritical of geo-engineering, forgetting that the goal of the book is not to be an accurate prediction of the future, but to show a possible way out, and to inspire hope.
While I do feel that the plot achieves this, the writing is just too staccato, too devoid of prose and too unemotional for me to truly immerse in the book and enjoy it. This felt too much like reading something trying to be a novel than actually reading a novel.
