The Labyrinth of the Spirits
by Carlos Ruiz Zafón
Thinking long and hard about it, this is a 'just fine' conclusion to an overall pretty good series. The first two books are definitely far above the latter two books. In this final instalment the plot feels convoluted, a lot of new characters pop up that I don't really care about, favourite characters from earlier books seem somewhat OOC (but tbf that may also be because of the different audiobook narrator), and I still can't shake the fact that some of the timeline doesn't line up and there are plot holes here and there.
Still, this was enjoyable. I will be finishing off the series with The City of Mist.
