duparker 's review for:
Cockroaches
by Jo Nesbø
Might be the best of the lot so far. I really enjoyed the thrill of this story. After reading the 3rd through 6th book, I was a bit down on Harry Hole and had taken a break. I think the drudgery and the darkness of the stories were too much. It was dark and depressing to be dark and depressing. This book, the second in the series, is a much more taught and convincing thrill, with violence, but not dark violence (first hand, that is).
I think the character development is solid, and the overall story line flows really well. It is a book you read and realize an hour has gone by and you still want to move forward, but need to go to sleep.
