As I have developed something like a high regard for Australian children's literature I was delighted to discover a new to me author and the first book in the Key to Ronda series.

Once the story got started and we got into Ronda, the book was rather unputdownable and I finished listening to this book in audio format really quickly.

The adventure is quite scary and takes us into a parallel universe where fairy tale figures are alive and nothing is quite as it seems.

What diminished somewhat my enjoyment of this story was the rather boring and static relationship between the two main characters when they had to discuss what they wanted to do in fairyland.
