This had a lot of hype in libraryland. It was cutesy and is certainly a great book for those who LOVE books, but it didn't do much for me personally. Sara and Amy strike up a correspondence over their shared love of books, so lonely Sara decides to travel from Sweden all the way to Iowa to visit... But when she arrives, there's no Amy. Sara shows up on the day of Amy's funeral. The residents of Broken Wheel take Sara under their wing and they live happily ever after.

The audio book was really distracting and that might have affected my enjoyment of the story. The narration was done by two narrators and the main story was done in a British accent. Sara's dialogue is done in a Swedish accent which to me sounded accurate. However, the Iowa accent... oh the Iowa accent. Any time another character had dialogue, it was just awful. Certain words were given really strange lilts. "Law" was pronounced "lore" and it was so backwoods that I could not get over how stereotyped it was.
