Mariah writing style is delightfully elegant and detailed so you have no other choice than to be sucked into this amazing story. 
The characters are so lovable - Ayse with her witty mind and determination to save Ittora from the Withering, Aiden who is always grumpy and unapproachable living alone in a cabin next to a magical tree and Seok the caring and empathetic prince confined to a castle. 
The combination of botany, court intrigues, magic and a shadow daddy was marvellous! 🔥
I can't wait for the physical copy and also book 2! 🖤
