Probably the best friends-to-lovers romance I have read in all of 2024! Asher and Maeve have such good chemistry together!
Maeve and Asher have been best friends for the last decade since they met a community group for grief. Since then, they have been by each other’s sides! They have had so many great adventures together and this might be their biggest one yet….getting married in Vegas! What first started as a marriage of convenience soon turned into something real.
To me, their relationship felt so real and natural. Asher and Maeve were there for each other, no matter what. The love they had for each other was so adorable and honestly made my heart melt. The funniest part to me was that everyone around them knew they loved each other, but Asher and Maeve needed some time to realize that on their own!
This was the first book that I have read by Lauren Blakely and I will definitely be reading more! Even though this was the third book in a series of interconnect standalones, I felt like I didn’t miss a thing. I’m sure that if I read the first two novels (which I definitely will be doing) I might have more background about some of the characters!
