A dysopian commentary on America's disgusting private prison system, violent sports, and what it means to be human. Prisonors fight to the death on live TV. Well-written. Thought-provoking. Horrifying. Doomed love.
This book is uncomfortable. Due to the subject matter, this is obviously not a light read and won't be for everyone. The violence is high, there is overt racism, and more content warning subject matter. However, I do think it's worth the read if you want to give it a try.
