I love Freya Grove and the idea of the romance being between a witch and a magician! Unfortunately, I didn't feel like there was enough tension between Sirena and Gus to sustain the whole plot. Although they try to stay on the just friends side of things in the beginning, we knew pretty early on that they both are crushing on each other and they even kiss early on in the book. I feel like when the characters get together so early, something else needs to get in their way besides pretending that they don't actually like each other.
