hmm, this was fine. it was a bit disjointed in its flow and characters came and went without being developed well. it was quite different from the film but overall, i actually think the movie was better than the book. SAY WHAT??

HA! i just watched 'the best exotic marigodl hotel' and had no idea the film was based upon this book. clearly i have been under a rock. i caught the 'based on the novel...' at the end of the movie so now i really want to read this - though i am aware there are significant differences between the two.
