Beyond Fair Chase: The Ethic and Tradition of Hunting by Jim Posewitz

informative fast-paced

2.5

This was interesting but I can’t get over the cognitive dissonance of “hunters protect wildlife.” Yes, so that they can kill it. Like it’s FAR more respectable than farming, but still. It’s wild to me to claim that the “settlers” (colonizers) of North America can be credited with saving wildlife. Also to claim that all wildlife “belongs” to humans. This book really needs a Native perspective and rewrite.
