On The Ropes by Kathryn Nolan

5.0

This book low-key made me want to go outside and garden, string some lights up and invite the neighborhood for a block party. Then I remembered I'm too introverted for all that so I lived vicariously through Dean and Tabitha. All the feels for these two! Friends who had crushes on each other back in high school but didn't act on those feelings. I loved the metamorphosis of their characters, the revelations they made as a result of re-connecting and exploring not only their relationship but the choices they made in life. I loved their notion of found families, that family is not only the biological connections but also the human connections.

I received an advance copy of this book at my request and voluntarily left this review.
