I almost never read creepy books, & this was definitely a creepy book! I never knew what to expect, but this was one where you could, and probably should, just sit back & enjoy the ride.
The belief system was really interesting & introduced in a way that seemed organic - more showing than telling - which I appreciated.
I enjoyed the writing, the characters, & the bit of romance - even if I’m still feeling a little anxious & creeped out as I write this haha
The ending did come very quickly & a lot happened, which wasn’t necessarily bad but I think that’s where any flaws in this book mostly lie. Overall, though, if you’re looking for a creepy fantasy read, I’d recommend this one!
