Honestly when I first started this book, I thought I was gonna dnf it because I have never been much of a small town romance reader but something about the character Archer just fascinated me and that just pushed me to keep reading. I loved how multilayered these characters were , I loved how we saw them act as people in a relationship rather than just focus on the relationship. They felt really mature which I loved because a lot of romance books , their conflicts feel so childish but this felt so good to read. Seeing how they supported each other through their various traumas.
I loved how Bree was portrayed as a full-functioning adult who was in love rather than someone just uprooting their life for a man that was so one dimensional.
I loved the talk about ptsd and the use of sign language, this is one of the only books I have ever read that had sign language in it and I really appreciate that.
The last 20% definitely threw me for a loop but I’m happy it all worked out in the end and I would definitely recommend this book
